A
full-time artist and weaver, Deborah discovered weaving in 1996, when her life-long
love of fiber, texture, and color came together. Prior to 2005, Deborah devoted
her talents to creating wearable art, weaving hundreds of garments and accessories
for sale and exhibition across the country.
Since then, she has increased the scope of her work to include non-functional
art including large-scale wall pieces and liturgical banners. Her work has
appeared in many national and international exhibits, winning numerous awards,
and she has written articles for Handwoven Magazine.
For the past three years, she has been an Artist-in-Residence, teacher, and
weaver at Studio Channel Islands Art Center in Camarillo, CA, where Deborah
was instrumental
in developing the Fiber Art Studio.
