Michael F. Rohde is a
studio artist who has been working with color and design in woven pieces,
for over thirty years. Formal art training came from
the Alfred Glassel School of the Houston Museum of Fine Arts.
His
work has been included in the United States Department of State Art in Embassies
Program, the American Craft Museum in New York, the invitational Triennial
of Tapestry in Lodz, Poland, solo exhibits at the Janina Marks Museum in Lithuania,
University of British Columbia, Vancouver, at La Jolla FiberArts in California
and at del Mano Gallery in Los Angeles. His work is the permanent collections
of the Mingei International Museum in San Diego, the San Jose Museum of Textiles
and the Art Institute of Chicago.
