Sally Raskoff

Inspired by nature and societal events, Sally weaves what she feels and to express what she finds enjoyable, humorous, and problematic.

She uses fiber techniques appropriate for the project, including weaving, Kumihimo braiding, ply-splitting, coiling, spinning , dyeing, and paper arts. Sally creates scarves, vessels, jewelry, and textiles that invoke natural and social worlds. Her materials consist primarily of natural fibers such as organic cotton, silk, tencel, and hemp. Since much of her work reflects nature, it may look fragile or chaotic yet it is resilient, robust, and usually machine washable!
