After
years of study, work, and exploration Zink premiered her own line of wearable
art in 2005. As an emerging artist she continues to grow and explore
the horizons
of her work, recently receiving "Best in Show" at the Bethesda Fine
Arts Festival.
Stacy
began to her career in textiles while still in high school, apprenticing
with textile artist, Leni Hoch. She worked side by side with Leni throughout
her college career eventually becoming a Master Dyer as well as the Production
Manager of Hoch's studio.
After graduating summa cum laude with a BA in History
from West Chester University, Zink went on to travel extensively throughout
Europe and the US, studying weaving
techniques- both ancient and modern.
She settled in the Pacific Northwest, and honed her weaving skills with Seattle
artist, Kathy Hutchinson. While working with Hutchinson, Zink began experimenting
with her own designs and unique style.
